Growing up, my dad used to tell me to “always climb the ladder” and I took that to heart. Working through college and persisting through personal challenges and tough economic times, I held onto the belief that I could have whatever I wanted, if I just went after it. I learned setbacks and mistakes were simply stepping-stones for future success. These setbacks and mistakes in my life (and there were many) taught me to educate myself, stay positive, love what I do, and focus on the pathway ahead. I can’t change the past, but I can control my destiny. (And so can you.)
